Watzek Library is proud to support a data visualization contest to encourage and recognize excellence in the presentation of quantitative information. We invite submissions from all LC students.
Awards will be made in two categories:
1. Outstanding visualization prepared by a first-year student as part of their Numbers coursework
Award amount $100.
2. Outstanding visualization prepared by any LC student as part of their coursework
Award amount $150.
A winner and runner up will be recognized in each category. For details on preparing a submission please see the LC Data Stories tab.
The deadline for entries for the 2023-24 academic year is May 26, 2024.
We encourage students to submit their work early in order to receive feedback ahead of the deadline.
Entries will be judged by a panel of faculty, students and library staff. Students should expect to participate in revisions following submission.
