Watzek Library is proud to support a data visualization contest to encourage and recognize excellence in the presentation of quantitative information. We invite submissions from all LC students.
At the end of each semester, awards will be made in two categories:
1. Outstanding visualization prepared by a first-year student as part of their Numbers coursework
Award amount $50.
2. Outstanding visualization prepared by any LC student as part of their coursework
Award amount $100.
A winner and runner up will be recognized in each category. For details on preparing a submission please see the LC DataStories tab.
The deadline for entires for the Spring 2023 semester is May 6, 2023.
We encourage students to submit their work early in order to receive feedback ahead of the deadline.
Entries will be judged by a panel of faculty, students and library staff. We strongly encourage students to submit entries early in order to receive feedback ahead of the judging deadline. Students should expect to participate in revisions following submission.
