Displays: 2022-23: Banned Books Week

Watzek Library celebrated the freedom to read during Banned Books Week (this year, through September 24), displaying a selection of the most frequently challenged titles from 2021.

Per the American Library Association, Banned Books Week “spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools. It brings together the entire book community—librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types—in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.” Join us in celebrating the freedom to read!
