Watzek Library Response to COVID-19: Borrowing

Summit Service Resumes August 3rd

Beginning August 3rd, Lewis & Clark students, faculty, and staff may request items from select Summit libraries. Shipments may be delayed due to COVID precautions and reduced staffing across our network of partner libraries. Please allow extra time when placing your request.

Interlibrary Loan Service Resumes August 31st

Beginning August 31st, Lewis & Clark students, faculty, and staff may request physical items from libraries across the country using interlibrary loan. Availability of materials may be limited as many libraries remain closed. Please allow extra time when placing your request.

Books By Mail

Faculty and students who live off campus and are completing all of their courses remotely can have up to ten library items (including Lewis & Clark, Summit, and interlibrary loan materials) mailed to their home address. Items will be delivered via USPS Priority Mail with pre-paid return postage included. We are only able to mail items within the United States.

Return Items to Watzek

Return all course reserves to staff at the library service desk.

To reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, all other items returned to the library will be quarantined for five days before returning to circulation. Please allow up to one week for items to clear from your library account. Fines will not be charged.

Please return items borrowed during the spring term as soon as feasible. If you are unable to return items that were borrowed last spring, renew your items online or contact circ@lclark.edu.

Return items to the the Watzek checkout desk, Watzek's 24-hour book drop (pictured below), or the book drop at York Commons.
