About the Archive

This collection showcases artwork created by Lewis & Clark College Senior Studio Art Majors, from 1993-present. Through collaboration with the Visual Resources Center, the Department of Art, and the Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art, students complete a body of work throughout their senior year at Lewis & Clark College, culminating in the Senior Exhibition at the Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art. Opened in 1997, the Gallery gives a formalized venue and culminating experience to a year of reflective creative work.

Images on this website were documented by the students as a part of their final projects. Images available publicly were made by students in the disciplines of drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, and sculpture, from 2009-2011. All students in these cohorts signed a copyright waiver granting Lewis & Clark College a non-exclusive license to copy, display, distribute, and publish images of the artwork presented here. All copyrights are retained by the creator(s), other than this non-exclusive license.

Images in the archived section of the website were created from 1993-2008 and are available to the Lewis & Clark College community only, via Lewis & Clark user name and password. Many of these images are historic in nature, dating back to the Peebles Art Building, and cover a range of disciplines including graphic design and printmaking as well as those still offered at Lewis & Clark College.
