Boley Blog: Walk for Social Justice

by Meredith Kostek on 2020-10-05T13:30:00-07:00 | Comments

Join ONE L&C and Boley Law Library for a month-long walking challenge leading up to November’s election. Walk for Social Justice, sponsored by ONE L&C, is a walking/running/biking challenge that runs from October 2- November 2.

To help show Boley's participation in the Walk for Social Justice the library is keeping track of its walking/running/biking hours on its 'Voting" page on the L&C Protest Guide. While looking to see how many miles Boley has contributed to this cause, also check to see if you are registered to vote, there is still time in Oregon (until Oct. 13th). Mileage will be posted on Fridays.

According to ONE L&C, the Walk for Social Justice is "inspired by the story of a WWII vet who walked 100 miles for his 100th birthday (https://cnn.it/2RWdDlb), ONE L&C is organizing a walking challenge for the month leading up to November's election. Participate on your own or join a group for additional connection and encouragement. All participant mileage (walking/running/biking) will be tallied and added together."

Hope to see you out walking for social justice!
