Looking for free CLE? The following resources are available at no cost to members of the Lewis & Clark Law School community
Please note: not all of these have been pre-accredited with the Oregon State Bar. See the OSB Minimum Continuing Legal Education site, including the Program Database, and Rules for all MCLE credit information.
Through the West LegalEdcenter (hey, we don't name 'em, we just link 'em), we have access to free CLE provided by West LegalEdcenter and by The Rutter Group. Many of the West LegalEdcenter CLEs are pre-accredited by the OSB.
Signing up can be a bit perplexing, so we have created this step-by-step guide. Once in you can narrow your selections to CLE pre-accredited by state.
Bloomberg Law provides a number of free CLE on their Bloomberg Next platform. You'll need to create a login even if you do have a Bloomberg Law password, but once logged in access is easy. Just go to Bloomberg Next, login or create your login, then click the 'Catalog' tab.
The Oregon Professional Liability Fund (PLF) provides a large number of past-CLE for free or low cost to OSB members. Find them on the PLF CLE site. Be sure to login with your OSB credentials.
4. County Law Libraries: DVDs and CDs
Finally, all of the area's county law libraries (Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington) purchase DVDs and CDs of Oregon State Bar and other CLE programs. These materials are made available to attorneys for use on-site or via checkout. Contact the libraries for details.
