Course Reserves - Frequently Asked Questions
| What is a reserve? |
| Course reserves are materials designated by professors for use by their classes. |

| What types of things can I find on reserve? |
| Books, videos, and CDs can be placed on reserve and are available at the Watzek Circulation Desk. Journal articles, selected chapters from books, and some audio files are made available electronically via the Watzek Library web site. |

| Are all required materials for my courses on reserve? |
| Items are only placed on course reserve at the request of instructors. If you don't find things you need on reserve, talk to your professor about the possibility of using the service. |

| How can I access reserve materials? |
| From the Watzek Library home page,
click on the Course Reserves link on the left side of the page. From here, you
can select a course and see a list of items on reserve for your class. Items available electronically (e-reserves) can be accessed by clicking on the title. Physical materials can be checked out at the Watzek Circulation Desk. |

| What is the login/password to access electronic reserves? |
| Entering your Lewis & Clark email login and password will give you access to all electronic
reserves. |

| Can I borrow books on reserve? |
| Physical items on reserve can be checked out at the Watzek Circulation Desk and typically have short loan periods to ensure access to as many students as possible. |

| What happens if I return a reserve item late? |
| Students with overdue reserve items are charged $0.50 per hour, per item until the materials are returned. Reserve items that are lost or not returned will be billed to the patron at a rate of $75 per item. |
