First published in 1904, the Columbia Granger's Index to Poetry went online in 1999 as the World of Poetry. The online version only includes the contents of the 8th through the 13th edition, so the older print volumes are often useful for finding poems in anthologies published before 1982.
Searching is by title, first line or last line of the poem, or by author or subject. Brief biographical information is given for many poets, with bibliographical references to additional sources. There is an extensive glossary of poetic terms. Indexing of the following titles is included in the database:
