Erica Jensen: Profile

About Erica

I feel very lucky to get to work with students and faculty in Art, English, Music, and Theatre, building our collections in those areas and supporting student research. I also act as the liaison to the General Education program and coordinate the library’s outreach to Words and Numbers sections.

The most rewarding parts of my job are helping students find their own way through the often murky process of research, and helping people to get their bearings in the library more broadly. Libraries hold a staggering amount of powerful knowledge, not all of it easily found or readily apparent—and guiding people around/over/under/through/etc. the obstacles before that knowledge is one of my greatest professional joys, whether the obstacle is a call number or an idea that's hard to articulate. Please don’t hesitate to book an appointment slot on my calendar or to get in touch by email or phone for help with any question, however small, vague, unusual, or enormous. I’m also always eager to hear suggestions about books or other resources that you think belong in Watzek’s collection.
