(Re)searching astrology in Banares: Kundli cover, Assi
October 7, 2012

Here is the front of a Kundli, or astrological birth chart booklet. On the cover is an image of Ganesha, the Hindu elephant god of time and good travel. Ganesha is a relevant god to be on the cover as the inside of the Kundli shows one's past, present, and future. This also shows how astrology in Banares is strongly associated with Hinduism.
