Dr. Rudolph Byrd explores the complexities of defining “blackness” on Wednesday, February 23 in the Library Classroom at 4 pm.
Byrd (BA ’75) is an African American studies scholar and founding director of the James Weldon Johnson Institute for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies at Emory University. He presents a scholarly discussion of the groundbreaking Marlon Riggs film, Black Is…Black Aint.
