On May 2, Great Northwest Bookstore in Portland was destroyed in a fire and lost over 100,000 books. The antiquarian bookstore was a long time associate of Watzek Library and Special Collections. Through July 30, Splendorporium Gallery hosts a photography show of the fire with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Great Northwest Bookstore Fire Fund.
