Reading Days and Finals bring extended hours to Watzek Library. After opening at 9:00 am on Sunday, April 27th, the building will remain open around the clock until 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 8th.

The number of people using Watzek continues to grow as finals approach. Unfortunately, the possibility of theft also increases. Please remember that personal belongings should not be left unattended in the library. In particular, leaving materials behind to hold a study room is prohibited. Even short breaks away from laptops, phones, backpacks, jackets, and other items can result in theft. Please see staff at the Circulation Desk if an item is misplaced or taken.

Watzek Library now has access to the Film Literature Index, the first periodical index devoted to the literature of film, designed for the scholar, the student, and the general reader. It annually indexes 150 film and television periodicals from 30 countries cover-to-cover and 200 other periodicals selectively for articles on film and television. The Film Literature Index is known for its comprehensive indexing system that includes more than 2,000 subject headings for detailed analysis of articles and reviews.

Watzek Library is joining libraries across the country in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of National Library Week, April 13-19. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.
