About Kate

Think of me as a guide, helping you bushwhack a path through the information landscape.  As the coordinator of Watzek Library's instruction services, I am interested in all aspects of information literacy instruction, including design, pedagogy and assessment.

I have worked in all sorts of libraries and in bookstores.  The thing I most enjoy about college libraries is the chance to engage with students and faculty in the discovery, critical evaluation, and use of information sources.  I am particularly at home in small college libraries, having graduated from two liberal arts colleges.  My B.A. is from Kenyon College (major: anthropology) and my M.S. is from Simmons College (Graduate School of Library and Information Science).
