About Reference Services

The mission of Watzek Library Reference is to assist students, faculty and staff identify and retrieve information needed for study, research and personal use.

Reference librarians are available to help library users with their research by assisting in the selection and use of the most appropriate and effective print and electronic reference tools, including the Worldwide Web. Reference librarians can help formulate research strategies and provide individualized research assistance. The reference desk is staffed daily, including most evenings and weekends. Service is also available via phone and email.

About Research Consultation Services

For more in-depth assistance with research projects, theses, or other information needs, Lewis & Clark students, faculty and staff may schedule an appointment with a librarian. Appointments are usually made between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.Monday through Friday. Submit a request form and a librarian will contact you.

About Instruction Services

Faculty may schedule an instruction session for a class, addressing general library use or focusing on particular aspects of research.
