The mission of Watzek Library Research Services is to assist students, faculty and staff identify and retrieve information needed for study, research and personal use.
Librarians are available to help library users with their research by assisting in the selection and use of the most appropriate and effective print and electronic reference tools, including Internet resources. Librarians can help formulate research strategies and provide individualized research assistance.
For more in-depth assistance with research projects, theses, or other information needs, Lewis & Clark students, faculty and staff may schedule an appointment with a librarian. Appointments are usually made between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Submit a request form and a librarian will contact you.
Watzek Librarians regularly partner with faculty to offer sessions designed to engage students in all levels of discovery and use of information resources. Contact your departmental liaison or Kate Rubick, Instruction Services Librarian, for further information or to schedule a session.
Each academic department or program is assigned a departmental liaison. Your liaison will facilitate the selection of library materials in your discipline, keep you informed about new library resources and services, and assist with the information and instructional needs of the department.
Each academic department or program has a library materials budget. Faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to request items relevant to the curricular, intellectual, research, and service needs of the College. Send your requests to your departmental liaison.
