Computers and Internet Access

Connecting to the Internet

Watzek Library features both wired and wireless networking connections. You will find the wired networking connections at study carrels and tables throughout the library. Wireless networking is active in most areas of the library.

In order to use both our wired and wireless networks, you need to enter your current Lewis & Clark email username and password into a form that will appear in your web browser after you are connected to the network.

Wireless access is only available to current L&C Students, Faculty, and Staff. Library staff will supply a temporary username & password to guests for access to Watzek PCs. All questions regarding network use should be directed to Information Technology.

Reference Workstations

In addition to a Mac/PC computer lab, the Library has 22 Windows/PC computers available for productivity (wordproccessing, powerpoint, etc.) and library research applications in the reference area.. Students, faculty, and staff can login to these machines using their Lewis & Clark email (Unix) login and password. Visitors to the library should see staff for a temporary username & password.

Printing

There are two printers connected to the reference computer lab. Any printing done by students will be sent to these printers and be deducted from student printing accounts. Campus visitors may print to the "circulation" printer and may retrieve printouts at $0.10 per page at the circulation desk.

When printing in the reference lab, please note the following tips:
