Friends of the Aubrey R Watzek Library & The Biliophile Society of Lewis & Clark College
You are cordially invited to become a member of the Friends of the Aubrey R. Watzek Library & The Bibliophile Society of Lewis & Clark College. This organization ("Friends") aims to offer services, benefits, and opportunities as a traditional library friends group but also to take a leading role in fostering research, study, and information exchange on book collecting, book history, and the book in American culture.
Goals
The primary goals of the Friends group are:
- To encourage understanding of the materials and services of the Aubrey R. Watzek Library
- To promote personal and intellectual interests in the Library's collections
- To present a forum for education, research, and information sharing on book collecting, book history, and the book in American culture
- To encourage development of the Library's resources including funds, books, and other appropriate materials
Benefits!
As a Friend of the Library, you will:
- Receive announcements and invitations to lectures, exhibits, cultural and social events sponsored by the Library and the Friends
- Have the opportunity to participate in activities associated with book collecting and related topics
- Be recognized for participation in the friends
- Donors who give at the Patron level and above receive a Special Borrowing Card that allows use of the Watzek Library with circulation privileges and access to resources available within the library
